The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-Madison Affiliate is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Jazzed for Hope event presented by Baker Tilly, to be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Nakoma Golf Club in Madison, WI. We invite you to join us for a very special evening commemorating the lives of Jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Count Basie and others that have died from pancreatic cancer. Music will be infused throughout the evening by the Doug Brown Jazz Ensemble – with Michelle DuVall.

The cocktail & hors d'oeuvre reception begins at 7pm with silent auctions and our esteemed; auctioneer Gary Horras, will start the live auction bidding at 9pm. Last year, one hot item was the ‘one of a kind’ 1st edition jewelry slide depicting hope by Noble Metals . Award winning designer Leann Feldt, is again, designing a piece specifically for Jazzed For Hope.

Our celebrity emcee is Diana Henry from WKOW-TV. She will take us through the evening as we honor those that have passed both locally and nationally. We will again acknowledge survivors within our community along with the volunteers that have helped make this event a signature celebration. Your participation is the key to the success in finding a cure.

The late Dr. Randy Pausch said it well and in multiple ways, “the way you beat it, is you give a lot of smart people, the funding to do their job” “people in research labs can do miraculous things if they’re given the resources to do it” “people forget how we good are at this, we licked polio…” On behalf of those fighting this disease, thank you for helping us making a difference.
